Process

What begins raw
slowly learns softness.

01

Layer.

Built layer upon layer, each surface develops through repeated gestures.

02

Time.

Each layer demands time before the next can emerge. Surfaces are repeatedly built, left to settle and revisited.

03

Refinement.

Through continuous sanding, polishing and reworking, rough surfaces slowly evolve into a silky texture where tension begins to settle and form finds balance.

04

Composition.

To preserve the intended dialogue within each work, a custom-developed hanging system was created as an extension of the composition itself.
