"Two pulses, one energy"
The Origin | Chapter I
This chapter within the Life Line series investigates the field of energy that exists between two pulses. It observes how energy flows, where attraction arises, where tension accumulates, and where distance begins to form. It questions the relational structures we impose upon these forces.
Created during a period of self-reflection, the first work emerged as an attempt to give form to the energetic dynamics within my relationship at that time. What initially appeared personal unfolded as a broader inquiry: how does connection manifest as movement, charge, resistance, and space?
The Origin consists of five autonomous works, each capturing a distinct observation within this energetic field.
The first three works — In Harmony, Complementary, and Unconditional — are each produced in three handmade editions, no mechanical reproduction is involved. Though they exist in editions, each piece retains its material singularity and subtle variation.
The final two works, conceived as large-scale unica, mark the closing gesture of this chapter. Considerably greater in format, they expand the physical and energetic presence of the series. These two concluding works are currently in development and will complete The Origin as a finished chapter within the Life Line series.
Material
The conceptual depth of Life Line is reflected in its material execution.
Each work is constructed from multiple layers of stucco, applied and polished entirely by hand, progressing from coarse to increasingly refined surfaces. The gradual build-up and meticulous finishing process transforms the material into a soft, tactile skin.
Minimalism is not emptiness here.
It is concentration.
Through restraint, spatial precision, and calibrated balance, tension becomes perceptible. The works rely on subtle shifts rather than spectacle. They do not impose themselves through volume, but assert their presence through quiet intensity, where material, movement, and meaning converge.
A Living Series
Life Line is a living series.
Not a progression toward a fixed conclusion, nor a sequence of neatly defined themes. Each chapter emerges from an open question encountered along the way.
What do we meet as we move forward?
Which patterns repeat?
Where does tension return?
What asks to be seen more clearly?
The series does not follow a predetermined roadmap. It responds.
What remains constant is the core investigation:
What is truly at play beneath the surface?
In that sense, Life Line is not linear.
It unfolds.
